I just finished reading the book The Long Tail by Chris Anderson. This is an extremely intersting book with a lot of detailed information about the media and entertainment industries. I highly recommend it to anyone trying to make sense of the evolving media landscape.
The book is an easy read, but certainly poses a lot of challenging ideas and questions about the continuing role of traditional media (no, Anderson does not predict the fall of television) and the growth of new media, especially innovations like blogging and the whole Google phenomenon.
